“Gunalchéesh!” - September 29/October 4/7, 2021

This week on “Gunalchéesh!”, we feature the Tlingit and Ts'msyen languages. We hear Ben Spencer talk about the month of September in Ts'msyen and two conversations in Tlingit: we hear Marge Dutson with Marsha Hotch and Ethel Makinen with Anita Wright.  In between segments, we hear songs in Haida, Tlingit, and Yupik.   Airs Wednesdays after the 8 PM news on KCAW Sitka and kcaw.org ,  Mondays at 1 PM on KSTK Wrangell and kstk.org, as well as Thursdays after the 10 PM news on KRBD Ketchikan and krbd.org .

This week on "Gunalchéesh!", we feature the Tlingit language with a conversation between Smith Katzeek and Joe Hotch.  In between segments, we hear songs by Dave Nelson III (Ts'msyen), Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson (Haida), Cheryl Naomi Sampson (Ts'msyen), Pamyua (Yupik), The Patkotak Sisters (Inupiaq), Khu.éex' (Tlingit), and Dionne Brady-Howard (Tlingit).  K’yuuhlgáansii (Haida) hosts from Lingit Aani (Tlingit Land) in Sitka, Alaska.   A weekly hour celebration of Alaska Native languages.  Airs Wednesdays at 8:06 PM on KCAW Sitka and kcaw.org, Mo ndays at 1 PM on KSTK Wrangell   and kstk.o rg, as well as Thursdays at 10:06 PM on KRBD Ketchikan and krbd.org .
